Matt, an audit partner at MaloneBailey, is responsible for overseeing audit engagements for publicly-traded clients from a variety of industry lines, including oil & gas, manufacturing, biotechnology, retail and more.
Matt brings more than 10 years of professional accounting and auditing experience with a focus on SEC reporting, assurance services and financial reporting consultation.
Matt re-joined MaloneBailey from Ignite Restaurant Group where he served as Controller.
Matt started his career at MaloneBailey in 2002 upon completion of his undergraduate degree but spent the majority of his career at another local public accounting firm where he delivered audit services to small public companies. In addition, Matt has extensive experience managing teams of professionals and has implemented programs including staff development, training, quality control, human resources and information technology.
Matt received both his Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting and his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston. A Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas, Matt is a member of AICPA and TSCPA.
